Afternoon Readers
We read a variety of fiction and non-fiction, which includes at least one classic every year. Lively discussions are guaranteed. We meet at the Malletts Creek Library. We welcome all new members. The group meets on the 3rd Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., September to May (no meetings in December and January).
Update: We will be meeting on Zoom until further notice.
Leader: Donna Satin

Books and Authors
We read a variety of books, fiction and nonfiction with a lively discussion as a group. Selections include mostly contemporary fiction with occasional non-fiction. One or two members give the author’s biography and review the book, followed by general discussion. Every May we pick selections for the following year. We meet in members’ homes September to June on the 4th Monday at 7:30 p.m. (usually earlier in the month in June).
Update: We will be meeting on Zoom until further notice.
Leader: Cathy Allen

Books, Etc.
Our interests include both fiction and non-fiction. Group members read the book selected for the month; one member reviews it and leads the discussion. Books are chosen from member recommendations in May for the following September to June year. We meet in members’ homes at 1:30 p.m. on the 3rd Wednesday. New members are welcome.
Update: We will be meeting on Zoom until further notice.
Leader: Carolyn White

Contemporaries Meet Classics Book Discussion
Members review and lead informal discussions of current and classic books. Diverse ages and backgrounds make discussions lively. We meet the 1st Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. in members’ homes, from September to June. The season ends with a potluck dinner.
Update: We will be meeting on Zoom until further notice. We have a large group with even more participating via Zoom so this group is not accepting new members at this time.
Leaders: Robin Little and  Cheryl Clarkson

Evening Enrichment
Our group selects a theme for each year. In 2020 – 2021 we will be reading travel-related books. Meetings are held at members’ homes. A reviewer provides background on the book and leads the discussion. In December and June we have a potluck dinner and watch a movie together. We meet on 2nd Wednesdays at 7:30 pm from September thru June.
Update: We will be meeting on Zoom until further notice.
Leaders: Sarah Nooden and Janice Aguirre

Monday Afternoon Book Discussion
This section meets in members’ homes, where a single member reviews a book not usually read by others. At the first meeting of the year, each member mentions one or more books read during the summer, from which a group book list is assembled. In recent years, our June meeting is a restaurant lunch where books are exchanged and summer reading lists offered. There is no required reading for membership. We meet on the 1st Monday at 1:00 p.m., October to June, except January.
Update: We are considering having a “meet and greet” in October and another informal gathering in February on Zoom.
Leader: Elaine Sneideman

Mystery Books
It was a dark and stormy night when suddenly…. Come join us to find out who done it. Each month a member gives a brief review of the book and author and we find out who among us is the better sleuth. This group meets on the 3rd Wednesday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. and we meet all year.
Update: We will be meeting on Zoom until further notice. We usually meet year round, but this year will not meet in December and January.
Leaders: Donna Satin and Kay Erdman

Newcomers+ Book Group
Newcomers and current members are welcome. We are a theme-based book group; the theme is decided on by members and changes each year. The theme for 2020-2021 is The Struggle for Identity. We read both fiction and non-fiction and have group discussions where all can contribute. We meet in our homes except for the last meeting where we have a daytime lunch meeting to discuss a book, choose the next year’s theme, and pick a book in that topic to read over the summer. Past themes have been Immigrant Stories, Food Memoirs, Travel, Strong and Outrageous Women, and In The Americas. We meet from September to May (except December) the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
Update: We will be meeting only on Zoom until further notice.
Leaders: Amy Barnett and Judy Compton
