The Faculty Women’s Club of the University of Michigan (FWC) is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, religion, height, weight, or veteran status in its membership or activities.
FWC is open to all people who are U-M faculty or their spouses or partners. Those who would like to participate in the Club and do not meet this criteria may become friend members if sponsored by a regular FWC member. A fuller description about eligibility follows:
- University of Michigan faculty, faculty spouses or faculty partners join as Regular members. “Faculty” is defined to include professors of all ranks; visiting professors; lecturers; postdoctoral fellows; research area specialists; directors of various units; curators; and persons with similar duties. (Retirees in these categories are also eligible.)
- People who support the mission of the FWC and who are attending at least one of the interest sections as guests of a Regular member join as Friend members.
FWC dues are $30 for the year beginning September 1. Dues cover expenses that benefit our members, such as printing a directory, newsletters and social events.
